Stanford, CA - Kristina Xu of Claremont, California, remains at the top after carding an even-par 71 during round two of the Fortinet Girls Invitational at Stanford.

Xu, a 2025 grad, currently sits at No. 75 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The second round was adjusted to a 9:00 a.m. PT shotgun start due to rainy weather, where Xu was able to start on the first hole. She started her round with a par and went on to birdie No. 2. Xu was consistent in her next four holes and made pars on Nos. 3-6. She saw trouble on No. 7 where she carded her first bogey of the day, but was able to recover and par the next four holes. Xu carded her second birdie of the day on No. 12 but followed that with a bogey on No. 13. She went on to card five consecutive pars on Nos. 14-18 to finish out the round with an even-par 71 and 4-under-par 138 overall for the tournament.

Xu has one AJGA victory at the 2023 Golf Performance Center Killington Junior Golf Championship and is seeking her first invitational win this week.

"Conditions were really different today, but I just stuck to my same mentality as yesterday and took everything one shot at time. It would mean a lot to win tomorrow. Being able to compete with all of these girls and to be able to finish on top would mean a lot to me."

Amy Lee of (South Korea) Langley, British Columbia, Canada, Elise Lee of Irvine, California, and Megan Meng of Pennington, New Jersey, all share second place at 3-under-par 139.

The event includes 54 juniors ranked inside the top-100 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings along with 58 past AJGA champions. There are 25 college commits in the 72-player field that represent 16 states and eight countries.

The final round of the Fortinet Girls Invitational at Stanford is scheduled to start Monday, February 19, with a shotgun start beginning at 9:00 a.m. PT.
