JERSEY CITY, NJ - Gianna Clemente of Estero, Florida, fired a bogey-free third round and leads the Mizuho Americas Open with a stableford score of 113. Scoring for stableford is as follows:

Paired with LPGA players and AJGA alumni, Megan Khang and Andrea Lee, Clemente started her round with two back-to-back birdies on the par-4 No. 3 and par-3 No. 4. The highlight of her round came on the par-5 No. 6 where she made an eagle for five points. On her back nine, Clemente made a birdie on the par-4 No. 12 and the par-4 No. 16. The 4-time Rolex Junior All-American will be paired up with AJGA alumnae Nelly Korda, and LPGA player Hannah Green in the final round.

It was definitely very solid today. I almost was very close to having my A-game yesterday but the putts just didn't fall. So I knew I had it in me today. I went out there and hit it really well, just like yesterday, and the putts happened to fall today.

Yana Wilson Round 3 - 2024 - Mizuho Americas Open (3).JPG

Defending champion Yana Wilson of Henderson, Nevada, will be in the pairing one group ahead of Clemente as she tries to overcome the leader's two-point lead. Wilson also had an impressive round that included five birdies.

My goal coming into this round was to make no bogeys and no mistakes, and I feel like I did a pretty good job at that up until the last hole. But that's okay. People make mistakes.
