JERSEY CITY, NJ - Overnight leader Gianna Clemente of Estero, Florida, is the 2024 Mizuho Americas Open champion. Clemente finished the tournament with a total of 149 points in the stableford event.

Clemente started the round with seven straight pars before making her first birdie of the day on the par-5 No. 8. Playing alongside Hannah Green and AJGA alumnae, Nelly Korda, Clemente finished out the front nine with a score of 1-under-par 35. The 4-time Rolex Junior All-American birdied the par-5 No. 10 to start the back nine, but found a little bit of trouble on the par-4 No. 12. An errant tee shot caused Clemente to finish the hole with a double-bogey. She made another birdie on the par-4 No. 15 but made bogey on the par-4 No. 17. Clemente finished her round with a par on the par-4 No. 18 to win the event by two points. This win marks her fifth AJGA title and third Invitational win.

I think staying composed out there was really important. Definitely had a couple moments where it was a little bit more stressful, but just to come out of it with a win, it's just amazing.

The Mizuho Americas Open provided the opportunity for 24 of the top junior golfers to compete alongside the 120-player LPGA field for their own individual title.

The 2024 edition of the event marks the second time the AJGA and the LPGA have partnered to showcase the stars of today competing inside-the-ropes with the future of the game, creating an unprecedented week of education and access to inspire the next generation of LPGA Tour players.
