Kotchasanmanee leads by one point at Liberty National

JERSEY CITY, NJ - Thanana Kotchasanmanee of Rome, Georgia, leads the 2024 Mizuho Americas Open after the first round with a stableford score of 38. Scoring for stableford is as follows:

The Princeton University commit started the round with four straight pars before making back-to-back birdies on the par-4 No. 5 and the par-5 No. 6. Kotchasanmanee made a par on the par-4 No. 7 before recording her third birdie of the round on the par-5 No. 8. Her front nine score of 3-under-par 33 is the lowest of the round. She recorded her a bogey on the par-5 No. 10 and the par-3 No. 14, but bounced back with a birdie on the par-4 No. 15.

Kotchasanmanee is currently No. 17 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. She most recently finished T2 at the 2024 Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational presented by Rolex.

Amy Lee of Langley, British Columbia, Canada, had the highlight of the round after making a hole-in-one on the iconic par-3 No. 14.

The second round will have two waves for the AJGA players off Nos. 1 and 10 at 8:50 a.m. and 1:55 p.m. EDT.

The tournament will also be aired on Golf Channel from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. EDT.
