San Antonio, Texas - Scarlett Schremmer of Birmingham, Alabama, leads the Girls Division after carding a 6-under-par 66 in the second round. Currently ranked No. 8 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, Schremmer recorded eight birdies during her round to take a four-shot lead into day three.

The Alabama native was one shot back after the first day, opening the week with a 3-under-par 69. Having played this event last year, Schremmer is confident in her abilities and experience as she heads into the final 36-hole stretch.

"My key word today was opportunities — taking advantage of the opportunities that I got. I have put a lot of work into all aspects of my game and I want to let that pay off tomorrow and the next day."
Scarlett Schremmer

Round one leader Eliana Saga of Stevenson Ranch, California, sits four shots behind Schremmer after carding a 1-under-par 71 in round two. During the first round, Saga posted a 4-under-par 68 to lead by one. Currently ranked No. 30 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, Saga made six birdies in round one and added another five on day two, bringing her total to 11 for the week.

Michael Riebe of Encinitas, California, leads the Boys Division for the second consecutive day. Riebe carded back-to-back rounds of 68 and sits at 8-under-par. Currently ranked No. 11 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, he holds a three-shot lead heading into the final 36-hole stretch.

The California native took a one-shot lead after the opening round and started strong by holing out for an eagle on the first hole. Like Schremmer, Riebe is drawing on his experience to fuel his confidence this week.

"Getting off to a good start was important to show that I had the game today. There are really good players behind me so I will have to keep my foot on the gas. I know that if I stick to my process and control only what I can control, good will come out of it."
Michael Riebe

Edan Cui of Atherton, California, and Tyler Watts of Huntsville, Alabama, are tied for second place after day two. Both carded their best rounds of the week and are three shots back, sitting at 5-under-par.

Joshua Kim of Danville, California, and 2023 Rolex Player of the Year Miles Russell of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, round out the top five. Kim carded back-to-back rounds of 70 and sits at 4-under-par for the week. Russell remains within striking distance after posting a 2-under-par round and is at 3-under-par for the week.

About Rolex

An unrivalled reputation for quality and expertise

Rolex is an integrated and independent Swiss watch manufacture. Headquartered in Geneva, the brand is recognized the world over for its expertise and the quality of its products – symbols of excellence, elegance and prestige. The movements of its Oyster Perpetual and Perpetual watches are certified by COSC, then tested in-house for their precision, performance and reliability. The Superlative Chronometer certification, symbolized by the green seal, confirms that each watch has successfully undergone tests conducted by Rolex in its own laboratories according to its own criteria. These are periodically validated by an independent external organization.

The word ‘Perpetual’ is inscribed on every Rolex Oyster watch. But more than just a word on a dial, it is a philosophy that embodies the company’s vision and values. Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of the company, instilled a notion of perpetual excellence that would drive the company forward. This led Rolex to pioneer the development of the wristwatch and numerous major watchmaking innovations, such as the Oyster, the first waterproof wristwatch, launched in 1926, and the Perpetual rotor self-winding mechanism, invented in 1931. In the course of its history, Rolex has registered over 600 patents. At its four sites in Switzerland, the brand designs, develops and produces the majority of its watch components, from the casting of the gold alloys to the machining, crafting, assembly and finishing of the movement, case, dial and bracelet. Furthermore, the brand is actively involved in supporting the arts and culture, sport and exploration, as well as those who are devising solutions to preserve the planet.
