Zalsman secures Rolex Girls Junior Championship win

STEVENS POINT, WI. - Amelie Zalsman of Saint Petersburg, Florida won the 2025 Rolex Girls Junior Championship with a 54-hole tournament total score of 9-under-par 207.

Zalsman, No. 18 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, played consistent golf throughout the three-day tournament, posting a 4-under-par in the first round, a 3-under-par 69 in the second and a 2-under-par 70 to close out the victory.

Zalsman entered the final day of the tournament two strokes out of the lead. She would card four birdies in the final round, including on hole 17 to break a tie for first.

Her first title of the 2025 season adds to a list that includes victories at the 2024 AJGA Junior Championship presented by Visit Tallahassee and the 2024 Rolex Tournament of Champions.

Elin Wang of Hong Kong was one three players to finish in a tie for second place at 8-under-par 208. She carded four birdies on the final 18 holes for her third straight round of 2-under-par 70 or better.

Celina Yeo of San Carlos, California recorded her second straight runner-up finish at the Rolex Girls Junior Championship, with an 8-under-par 208. Yeo, No. 32 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, carded six birdies in the second round for a 5-under-par 67.

Amber Lee of Alta Loma, California went without a bogey across the first two rounds to propel herself into a T2 finish. Lee, No. 34 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, was the youngest player to finish in the top 10 at 14 years old.

Aphrodite Deng of (Canada) Short Hills, New Jersey recorded a bogey-free back nine in the final round to secure a solo fifth-place finish. Deng, No. 2 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, has finished in the top-five at four AJGA events in the last two seasons.

Ava Zhang of Lake Mary, Florida, Alexandra Snyder of Orlando, Florida, and Kaili Xiao of Chino Hills, California finished tied for sixth place with a score of 6-under-par 210.

Donina Zhou of Trabuco Canyon, California, Ava Bunker of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Eliana Saga of Stevenson Ranch, California finished tied for ninth place with a score of 5-under-par 211.

The Rolex Girls Junior Championship has occurred annually since 1992, changing host venues each year. Noteworthy courses include: LPGA International – Champions and Legends Course (2002-2005), Long Cove Club (2010), The Country Club of North Carolina – Dogwood Course (2015), and Promontory Club – Dye Canyon Course (2018).
