San Antonio, TX - The Rolex Tournament of Champions returns to TPC San Antonio’s Canyons Course for the fourth time. First played in 1978, the event is one of the AJGA’s longest-running and most prestigious championships. It was recognized as the AJGA Invitational of the Year in 2016.

About the Field
The 78-player field includes juniors from three countries and 18 states. Among the competitors are 73 Rolex Junior All-Americans and 69 past AJGA champions. The field spans multiple graduating classes, including 40 players from the class of 2026 and 2031 graduate Iris Lee.

Tournament History
The Rolex Tournament of Champions has crowned standout junior golfers since its inaugural event in 1978. Boys Division three-time champion Phil Mickelson (1986–1988) remains the most decorated competitor, with other notable champions including Akshay Bhatia, Sam Burns, Matthew NeSmith and Benjamin Griffin. Last year’s Boys Division champion, Miles Russell, returns to TPC San Antonio this week. Russell, a two-time Rolex Junior Player of the Year (2023, 2025), recorded all four rounds under par last year (71-70-69-65) to win by six strokes and enters the tournament this season having captured victories at The Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by Rolex, the 2025 Junior Invitational at Sage Valley and the AJGA Simplify Boys Championship at Carlton Woods. Tyler Mawhinney, the 2023 champion, also returns.

In the Girls Division, past champions include Meja Ortengren, Rose Zhang, Beth Bauer, Kellee Booth, Andrea Lee, Alison Lee, Inbee Park and Lucy Li. Defending champion Amelie Zalsman also returns. Zalsman posted all four rounds under par last year (71-70-71-70) to win by one stroke and has added a win at the Rolex Girls Junior Championship this season, along with a top-five finish at The Nelly Invitational presented by Chevron.

About the Course
TPC San Antonio features two championship courses, Greg Norman’s Oak Course and the Pete Dye–designed Canyons Course. The club, home of the PGA TOUR’s Valero Texas Open, joined the AJGA schedule in 2022 and previously hosted the PGA TOUR Champions’ San Antonio Championship from 2011–2015. The Canyons Course, known for its strategic layout and classic Dye design, provides a true test for AJGA golfers.

Tournament Schedule
Tournament rounds run Sunday, November 23, through Wednesday, November 26, with tee times from 8-10:00 a.m. off of Nos. 1 and 10. The official Practice Round will begin Saturday, November 22nd, with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
