#FortinetGirls returns to Stanford Golf Course for a historic fifth time

Stanford, CA - Stanford Golf Course welcomes the AJGA for the Fortinet Stanford Invitational hosted by Rose Zhang. The tournament features 72 of the top-ranked female juniors in the Rolex AJGA Rankings competing in a 54-hole stroke play event.

The field features 45 players ranked inside the top 100 of the Rolex AJGA Rankings, highlighting the elite competition at Stanford Golf Course. Adding to the excitement, tournament host and Stanford alumna Rose Zhang will be onsite to engage with players and families throughout the event. She will also lead two special Q&A sessions—one for players and another for parents—offering insight into her junior golf journey, collegiate experience, and transition to the professional game.

About the Course

The Fortinet Girls Invitational at Stanford marks the 10th AJGA event hosted at Stanford Golf Course. Designed by George C. Thomas and Billy Bell Jr., the course has been a staple of championship golf since its opening in 1930 and is owned and operated by Stanford University. In 2023, Golfweek ranked it No. 7 among college courses nationwide.

About Rose Zhang

Zhang, whose AJGA career was filled with remarkable achievements, returns to her collegiate course to share her insights with the next generation of junior golfers. As a junior, she was a two-time Rolex Junior Player of the Year and a 10-time AJGA champion, with an impressive eight Invitational victories. In 2022, she made history as the first Stanford player in 18 years to win the NCAA Individual Championship. Now balancing life as both a professional golfer and a Stanford student, Zhang continues working toward her diploma while excelling on the LPGA Tour. Since turning pro in 2023, she has already secured two LPGA victories and represented Team USA in two Solheim Cups, further cementing her place among golf’s rising stars.

Players To Watch

Asterisk Talley of Chowchilla, California is No. 1 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and is coming off her third invitational win at the Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational presented by Rolex. The four-time AJGA champion and three-time Rolex Junior All-American represented the United States at the 2023 and 2024 PING Junior Solheim Cups.

Nikki Oh of Torrance, California, returns to the Fortinet Stanford Girls Invitational after a top-10 finish in 2024. Ranked No. 7 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and committed to Stanford, she’s aiming for a victory at her future collegiate course. Oh kicks off the 2025 tournament season following two top-five finishes at the Rolex Tournament of Champions and the PING Invitational. She also represented the U.S. at the 2024 PING Junior Solheim Cup.

Amelie Zalsman of St. Petersburg, Florida, ranked No. 9 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, the two-time Rolex Junior All-American claimed victory at the Rolex Tournament of Champions in November and aims to carry that momentum into Stanford.

Scarlett Schremmer of Birmingham, Alabama, is ranked No. 4 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The Texas A&M commit is a two-time Rolex Junior All-American and has secured five top-10 finishes in AJGA invitationals. Additionally, she represented the United States in the PING Junior Solheim Cup.

Tournament History

Originally known as the AJGA Girls Championship at Furman Golf Club from 2009 to 2020, the tournament was renamed the Mariah Stackhouse Girls Invitational in 2021 to honor the AJGA alumna and LPGA Tour player. Now in its third year with Fortinet as the title sponsor, the event welcomes a new chapter in 2024 with Rose Zhang serving as the title host.
