BRADENTON, FL. - The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) continues to celebrate Chevron’s impactful support of The Nelly Invitational presented by Chevron, now entering its third year as one of the premier events in girls' junior golf.

Chevron’s partnership has played a significant role in elevating the tournament while helping reduce financial barriers for elite junior golfers worldwide. For the second consecutive year, players in the field will receive $2,000 travel stipends to offset expenses such as entry fees, airfare, lodging, and rental cars, with international competitors receiving an additional $500. As the first to introduce stipends at this level, Chevron helped set a new standard in junior golf, one that others have since followed. Their commitment remains among the most substantial in the game and continues to lead the way in player support.

The partnership has expanded the event’s international reach, with players from eight countries, and offers a groundbreaking opportunity: an exemption into the following year’s Chevron Championship. Awarding the champion a direct entry into an LPGA major firmly establishes the Nelly Invitational presented by Chevron as a true pathway to the highest level of women’s professional golf and makes it the first AJGA event to offer an exemption into a major championship.

“Having Chevron’s support to make this invitational more accessible for players and their families was really important to me as we built this tournament.”
Nelly Korda, Tournament Host

“So few amateurs get the opportunity to compete in events like The Chevron Championship, so earning an exemption through an AJGA event was an incredible opportunity.”
Shauna Liu, 2025 Champion

This combination of global representation, meaningful financial support, and elite competitive incentives continues to attract a world-class field, including top-ranked international players who may not otherwise qualify through traditional AJGA ranking pathways. The result is a championship that reflects both competitive excellence and inclusivity.

With Chevron’s continued partnership, The Nelly Invitational presented by Chevron has quickly become known for its elevated player experience, strong field, and memorable moments, including appearances by Nelly Korda and industry-leading support from tournament partners. As the event enters its third year, Chevron’s sustained investment continues to help shape the future of the game by opening doors, fostering opportunity, and empowering the next generation of elite women golfers.
