SOMIS, Calif. – Honorine Nobuta Ferry of Flower Mound, Texas, and Preston Hage of Raleigh, North Carolina, are the champions of the 19th PING Invitational. Nobuta Ferry finished the event at 8-under-par 208 while Hage finished with a total 14-under-par 202.
Honorine Nobuta Ferry claims her fourth AJGA victory and first career Invitational win in the Girls Division. In the first round of play, she shot even par 72. As she learned the course, she gained momentum, shooting a 2-under-par 70 in the second round. In her final round, she took off, firing a 6-under-par 66. This 18-hole score ties The PING Invitational record, also held by Jasmine Koo and Ariya Jutanugarn at six strokes under par. Her final round was highlighted by a clutch eagle on the par-5 No. 6. In total, she fired off five birdies on the day, and 14 throughout the tournament.
"I'm just shocked right now. I really didn't expect it. This has been a goal of mine since I was 11. I'm just super happy, especially to do it at this historic tournament."
The 2028 graduate is currently ranked No. 18 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. She was a member of the 2025 Wyndham Cup West Team and has 13 top-10 finishes in AJGA events.
Tied for the runner-up spot are Kelly Zhang of Hillsborough, California, and Lily Peng of San Ramon, California, at 5-under-par 211. Zhang, a 2030 graduate, led the event for the first two rounds, landing an impressive 11 birdies during the tournament. She shot a bogey-free back nine in both the second and final rounds. Peng shot under par in all three rounds this week. She fired eight birdies during the event, and an eagle during the second round on the par-5 No. 14. Clairey Lin of Palos Verdes Estates, California, sits in fourth place at 4-under-par 212. The 2028 graduate landed 11 birdies throughout the tournament. Tied for fifth are Juliet Oh of Diamond Bar, California, and Asterisk Talley of Chowchilla, California, at 1-over-par 217. Oh shot a total of 14 birdies in the event, and fired her lowest round during the final day to secure her spot in the top five. Talley, the 2024 defending champion, fired off nine birdies and two eagles on Nos. 6 and 14 throughout her three rounds.

Preston Hage took home his first AJGA win in the Boys Division by nine strokes, shooting under par in all three tournament rounds. This includes a standout second round, at 10-under-par 62, Hage broke The Saticoy Club course record. His nine-hole total of 28 during the second round also set a new tournament record, surpassing the previous mark of 30. In total, he landed 21 birdies throughout the event, with eight of them being consecutive on day two. His final round was highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 No. 6.
"I can't even put it into words right now. To get my first win - I've been playing for so long. It finally feels good to have it all pay off here. Especially shooting a 62. I mean, that's my best I've ever shot, it feels pretty special."
The 2026 graduate is currently ranked No. 28 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. He was a member of the 2023 Junior All-Star Team and has eight top-10 finishes in AJGA events. He is committed to play collegiate golf at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Tied for runner-up are Jaden Soong of Los Angeles, California, and Ronin Banerjee of Irvine, California, at 5-under-par 211. Soong, a 2028 graduate, fired 13 birdies across the three rounds. Banerjee, a recent commit to the University of Tennessee, landed 12 birdies in the event. His final round was highlighted by back-to-back birdies on Nos. 16 and 17. In solo fourth lies Sam Carraher of Crown Point, Indiana, at 4-under-par 212. He birdied the par-5 No. 14 in all three rounds, helping bring his total to 12 birdies in the tournament. Tied for fifth are Mason An of Houston, Texas, and Luke Ringkamp of Palm Desert, California, at 3-under-par 213. An's tournament was highlighted by two eagles, one in the first round on No. 6 and one in the final round on No. 1. Ringkamp entered the tournament as one of the top-three ranked Boys Division players, and carded 11 birdies during the event.

Tournament History
The inaugural PING Invitational took place in 2006 and in the tournament’s 19-year history, has crowned many notable past champions. Jordan Spieth is the only two-time Boys Division champion, winning in 2008 and 2010. Other notable champions include PGA TOUR player Emiliano Grillo and college standouts – Stanford senior Michael Thorbjornsen and 2023 Walker Cup team member Ben James, a sophomore at the University of Virginia.
Rose Zhang, two-time Rolex Junior Player of the Year and LPGA Tour star, joined Spieth as the first two-time champion in the Girls Division with victories in 2018 and 2020. In 2021, Gianna Clemente of Estero, Florida, became the youngest champion at 13 years, 6 months, and 18 days old. Clemente successfully defended her title in 2022, winning by seven shots to join Spieth and Zhang. Notable Girls Division champions also include: Nelly Korda, Alison Lee and Patty Tavatanakit.
