The Woodlands, TX - The AJGA Simplify Boys Championship at Carlton Woods returns to The Club at Carlton Woods – Fazio Championship Course for its 17th year, February 13–16. Widely recognized as one of the strongest all-boys junior golf events in the world, the tournament features 54 holes of stroke play and will host 72 of the top-ranked juniors globally. The event has been held annually since 1987, with the past 17 editions played at Carlton Woods.

Tournament History
The AJGA Simplify Boys Championship at Carlton Woods has showcased top junior talent since its inaugural event in 1987. Notable past champions include the first winner, Jim Furyk (1987); 13-time PGA TOUR winner David Duval (1989); 15-time major champion Tiger Woods (1992); Kyle Stanley (2005); Rickie Fowler (2006); Jordan Spieth (2011); Doug Ghim (2014); and Jackson Van Paris (2020–21), the event’s only repeat champion.

Last year’s champion, Miles Russell, returns to The Club at Carlton Woods – Fazio Championship Course. A three-time Rolex Junior All-American, Russell carded all three rounds under par (64-70-71) to secure an 11-under-par victory.

Miles Russell of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, enters the event at No. 1 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and is set to defend his title. The Florida State University commit captured three major titles in 2025, including the #AJGABoysChamp, The Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by Rolex, and the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley.

Giuseppe Puebla of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, is at No. 2 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The University of Florida commit posted two runner-up finishes in 2025 at the #AJGABoysChamp and the RLX Ralph Lauren Junior Classic, and also earned top-10 finishes at the Wyndham Invitational presented by Odyssey and The Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by Rolex.

Luke Ringkamp of Palm Desert, California, is at No. 7 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The Pepperdine University commit capped his 2025 season with his first Invitational victory at the Rolex Tournament of Champions and also claimed a title at the Jim Click Automotive / HSL Properties Championship presented by the Tucson Conquistadors.

Ayden Fynaut of Fresno, California, is at No. 10 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The Pepperdine University commit captured his first career AJGA victory at the Visit Fresno County Junior Championship. Fynaut followed that with two top-10 finishes in his final Invitationals of 2025 and will be aiming to earn his first Invitational title this week.

About the Course
The Club at Carlton Woods holds the rare distinction of being one of only two private clubs in the United States to feature both Jack Nicklaus and Tom Fazio designs. The Jack Nicklaus Signature Course opened in 2001, followed by the Tom Fazio Championship Course in 2005.

Tournament Schedule
Tournament rounds run Saturday, February 14, through Monday, February 16, with tee times from 8:30-10:20 a.m. off of Nos. 1 and 10. The Junior-Am Fundraising Tournament, sponsored by Allegiance Refining, LLC, will take place on Friday, February 13, featuring an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start for the morning wave and a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start for the afternoon wave.
