West Caldwell, N.J. - Mountain Ridge Country Club will welcome the fourth edition of the Mizuho Americas Open from May 4–10, 2026. Conducted in partnership with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), the event brings together a 120-player LPGA field and 24 of the world’s top junior female golfers. The invited American Junior Golf Association players will compete for their own title in a 72-hole Stableford competition while experiencing one of the game’s premier stages.
About the Field
Selected through the Rolex AJGA Rankings, the junior field features 24 of the world’s top female junior golfers representing nine states and two countries. The field includes 22 Rolex Junior All-Americans, 21 AJGA champions and 11 college commits. Five players return from previous editions of the event, while 18 competitors will make their tournament debut in 2026. Tournament host Michelle Wie West is set to make a start on the LPGA side in this year’s edition of the event.
Among the returning players are defending champion Aphrodite Deng of Short Hills, New Jersey, Clairey Lin of Palos Verdes Estates, California, Shauna Liu of Maple, Ontario, Canada, Lily Peng of San Ramon, California, and Eliana Saga of Stevenson Ranch, California.
The class of college commits is highlighted by Wake Forest University signees Amelie Zalsman of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Vidhi Lakhawala of Kendall Park, New Jersey, University of California, Los Angeles commits Lily Peng and Shauna Liu, along with future standouts headed to Harvard University, Texas A&M University, University of Virginia, University of Southern California, University of Texas at Austin, University of Pennsylvania and University of Oregon.
Three competitors call New Jersey home: Aphrodite Deng, Rayee Feng of Short Hills, New Jersey, and Vidhi Lakhawala. California leads all states with 12 players in the field, followed by Florida with four and New Jersey with three. Kansas, Maryland, Oregon and Texas are also represented, along with Canada and Japan.
Players to Watch
Defending champion, Aphrodite Deng, enters the week as the highest-ranked player in the field at No. 2 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The New Jersey native brings a strong resume into Mountain Ridge, including four victories in 2025 highlighted by wins at the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley, the Mizuho Americas Open and the U.S. Girls’ Junior. In 2026, she added a fourth-place finish at the Junior Invitational and made appearances at both the Augusta National Women’s Amateur and the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro. The 2025 Rolex Junior Player of the Year will look to build on that momentum and capture her fifth AJGA title this week.
Lily Peng is ranked No. 4 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and is making her second start at the Mizuho Americas Open, where she finished third last year. A three-time Rolex Junior All-American, she has captured wins at the Kathy Whitworth Invitational and posted runner-up finishes at the RLX Ralph Lauren Junior Classic and The PING Invitational in 2025. Peng is committed to play collegiate golf at the University of California, Los Angeles, beginning in the fall of 2027.
Amelie Zalsman is ranked No. 5 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and arrives in strong form after a standout start to 2026. The Wake Forest University commit opened the year with a win at The Sally, added a fourth-place finish at the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley, and placed eleventh at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. A five-time AJGA champion, Zalsman earned an LPGA start through her 2025 Rolex Girls Junior Championship exemption into the FM Championship. She will make her Mizuho Americas Open debut this week.
Notable Moments & Past Champions
The Mizuho Americas Open continues to spotlight the connection between elite LPGA professionals and the game’s rising junior talent.
The inaugural 2023 LPGA title was won by AJGA alumna, Rose Zhang, who made history by winning in her professional debut on the LPGA Tour. On the junior side, Yana Wilson captured the AJGA title, edging out 2022 Augusta National Women’s Amateur champion Anna Davis.
In 2024, AJGA alumna Nelly Korda captured her sixth win of the season at the event. On the junior side, Gianna Clemente claimed her third AJGA Invitational title at the event, finishing atop the Stableford leaderboard and earning AJGA Rolex Junior Player of the Year honors following a standout season.
The 2025 edition featured a historic storyline as inaugural junior champion Yana Wilson returned to compete on the LPGA side after turning professional, becoming the first former junior winner to play the event as an LPGA Tour professional.
