Brumlow maintains lead after second round of #TeamTaylorMadeInv

3-under-par 67 solidifies top spot heading to final round

Belleair, Fla. - After the second round of competition, Bodie Brumlow of Cartersville, Georgia, leads the field at the Team TaylorMade Invitational at Pelican Golf Club after shooting a second-round 3-under-par 67.

With temperatures in the mid 90s, players faced a stiffer morning wind but sunny skies as they navigated around the par 70 Pelican Golf Club. Course conditions provided more of a challenge during the second round as 17 players shot under par.

This is the sixth playing of the Team TaylorMade Invitational and features some of the most talented junior golfers in the world. The event is supported by AJGA Global Partner TaylorMade Golf and moves annually to different venues throughout the country.

Brumlow entered the round sitting in the top spot after a record-breaking opening round at Pelican Golf Club. His second round got off to a rocky start with a double bogey on No. 2. He would get one back with a birdie on No. 5 before making the turn at 1-over-par 36. On the back nine, he didn't waste time getting back under par as he birdied Nos. 12, 13, 14 and 16. He would shoot a total of 4-under-par 31 on the back nine to close out his round at 3-under-par 67 and 12-under-par 128 for the tournament.

During the first round, Brumlow shot a 9-under-par 61 to set the AJGA 18-hole Invitational score record as well as the Pelican Golf Club course record. The AJGA record was previously held by several juniors, including Luke Clanton who shot 10-under-par 62 at the 2021 Team TaylorMade Invitational on the Blue Course at Streamsong Resort during the final round.

The 2027 grad is No. 94 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. He is playing in just his third AJGA tournament with the previous two being top-5 finishes in 2025. He has also built a strong resume through SCJGA, SJGT and GAPGA tournaments. He is planning to attend the University of Georgia in the fall of 2027.

In a tie for second place are Ryan Nana Tanke of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Luke Ringkamp of Palm Desert, California, and Giuseppe Puebla of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, at 7-under-par 133.

Nana Tanke entered the day sitting in solo second place after an opening round 7-under-par 63. It was an up and down day for Nana Tanke which saw him card just seven pars en route to his even-par 70. He started on the front nine with a birdie on No. 1 and a bogey on No. 2, which characterized most of his day. His scorecard featured four birdies, six bogeys and an eagle on the par 5 No. 14.

The 2028 grad came into the event at No. 34 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings after a win at the AJGA Lake Charles Junior Championship in April and a T5 finish at the K.J. Choi Foundation Texas Junior Championship hosted by Pacificlinks Korea in March. He has six top-5 AJGA finishes in his career.

Ringkamp began the day tied for third after an opening round 5-under-par 65. He started his second round on No. 10 and immediately made an impact with a birdie on No. 11 and then another on No. 13. He would go on to bogey No. 17 to make the turn at 1-under-par 35. On his second nine he carded another bogey and then two more birdies on Nos. 5 and 7 to finish his round at 2-under-par 68.

Ringkamp comes into the tournament at No. 4 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The Pepperdine verbal commit is a 2026 grad and was named a 2025 Rolex Junior All-American. He has one AJGA Invitational win which came at the 2025 Rolex Tournament of Champions.

Puebla recorded the low score of the second round with a 7-under-par 63. He started his round on No. 10 and got off to a tough start with a bogey on his first hole. He got back to even-par with a birdie on No. 14 and then got hot as the finished out his first nine holes and made the turn with birdies on Nos. 17, 18 and 1. He then birdied No. 3 and stacked birdies on Nos. 5, 6 and 7 to finish his second nine at 5-under-par 30.

At No. 2 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, Puebla is the highest-ranked player in the top 3. The 2027 grad was named a Rolex Junior All-American in 2025 and is looking for his first AJGA victory. The Florida commit is is coming off a T5 finish at the AJGA Simplify Boys Championship at Carlton Woods in February.
