The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) is proud to announce the return of the Tour Stafford Preview, set to take place June 15–18, 2026, at Augustine Golf Club in Stafford, Virginia. The event will mark the fifth year of the tournament and its first at Augustine Golf Club.

Since its debut in 2022, the Tour Stafford Preview has quickly established itself as a key junior golf event in the region. The tournament was named the AJGA’s Newcomer of the Year in 2022 and was nominated for both the Preview of the Year and Hospitality Award in 2025, highlighting its continued growth and excellence.

“We’re excited to bring the Tour Stafford Preview to Augustine Golf Club for the first time in 2026. This event has grown into one of the premier Preview stops on our schedule, and Augustine provides an outstanding setting for our players and families. We’re also grateful for the continued support from Tour Stafford Virginia and the local community, whose commitment has helped make this event successful both on and off the course.”
Adam Brueggman, Regional Director, Northeast

The event has also made an impact off the course. More than $40,000 has been donated to local charities since 2022, including the Stafford Education Foundation, Stafford Junction Inc., Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Fredericksburg, Area 11 Special Olympics Virginia, SERVE Inc., Stafford County Fire and Rescue, Mental Health America of Fredericksburg and Rappahannock Goodwill Industries. The tournament has also brought significant economic benefits to the area, generating more than $1.1 million in total economic impact since it began through travel, lodging and local spending.

“The AJGA tournament brings significant economic impact to Stafford County by attracting visitors who support our hotels, restaurants, and local businesses. It also elevates Stafford’s profile as a premier sports tourism destination, creating lasting benefits for our community and economy. We are proud hosts for AJGA’s fifth year presenting this event here in Stafford County.”
Liz Barder, Department of Economic Development and Tourism

The move to Augustine Golf Club marks a new chapter for the event as it continues to grow its presence in the Stafford area. Augustine Golf Club provides a strong setting for the tournament as one of the top public courses in Virginia. The par-71 layout, designed by Rick Jacobson, sits among the rolling hills of Stafford County. The course is known for its tree-lined fairways, bright bunkers and natural landscape that features pine and hardwood forests throughout. Augustine Golf Club has received national recognition over the years, including being named to Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Courses You Can Play and Golf Digest’s Best Golf Courses in Virginia, along with multiple “Best Places to Play” honors.

The 2026 Tour Stafford Preview will once again feature a full schedule of events, including a qualifier and practice round on Monday, June 15, followed by three rounds of tournament play from June 16–18. The event will conclude with an awards ceremony immediately following the final round.
