Plymouth, MA - The 36th Wyndham Cup has officially concluded, and the East team has retained the cup as the East and West teams tie with a final score of 25.0 to 25.0. This brings the all-time record to 17-14-5.

The West took an early lead on day one, putting the East behind 9-6. On day two, the East team claimed 8 points and cut their deficit to just 2 points heading into the singles matches on the final day.

2026 marks the fifth tie in the series' history and the first since 2023 at Mayacama Golf Club in Santa Rosa, California, where the West Team retained the Cup. This time, the East Team retains the Cup.

The East won nine of the 20 matches and tied four of them. However, the day started with the West taking the first 4 points of the morning. Landon Ashcraft of Scottsdale, Arizona won 1 up over Chase Bauer of Windermere, Florida. Anna Fang of San Diego, California won 5&3 over Ava Zhang of Lake Mary, Florida. Nicholas Logis of Austin, Texas won 4&3 over Mingbo Jiang of Orlando, Florida. Wrapping up the West team's dominant start, Lily Peng of San Ramon, California won 2&1 over Grace Carter of Jupiter, Florida.

The first point for the East came from Andy Dai of Bradenton, Florida as he won 3&2 over Richard Ding of Pleasanton, California.

The majority of the afternoon was back and forth with the East winning eight matches, the West winning two, and four matches ending in a tie.

The few afternoon points for the West came from Jaden Soong of Los Angeles, California who won 1 up over Giuseppe Puebla of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, and Rina Kawasaki of (Japan) Palos Verdes Estates, California who won 1 up over Jodie Han of Lewis Center, Ohio.

It all came down to the final match between Courtney Grace of Birmingham, Alabama and Clairey Lin of (Canada) Palos Verdes Estates, California. As the duo walked down hole No. 18, the overall score was 24.5 to 24.5, with the East needing a win or tie from Grace in the match to win or retain the cup, while the West needed a win from Lin to claim the cup. Lin was 1 up from hole Nos. 10 through 16, but Grace made a par on hole No. 17, while Lin made a bogey to even the match heading into the final hole. Both players made tap-in pars on the final hole, which led to the East team retaining the cup.

The matches that went the distance and halved points on No. 18 include:

  • Alexa Phung of Forest Hills, New York and Zoe Jiamanukoonkit of (Thailand) San Diego, California.
  • Cameron Kuchar of St. Simons Island and Drew Woolworth of Lake Oswego, Oregon.
  • Grayson Baucom of Hickory, North Carolina and Evan Liu of Rancho Santa Fe, California.
  • Courtney Grace of Birmingham, Alabama and Clairey Lin of (Canada) Palos Verdes Estates, California.
