Bernardus welcomes the 14th edition of the PING Junior Solheim Cup

Cromvoirt, Netherlands - The 14th edition of the PING Junior Solheim Cup will be hosted at Bernardus Golf on September 7 - 8, 2026.

Modeled after the Solheim Cup, the PING Junior Solheim Cup biennially features the 12 best female junior golfers (ages 12-18) from the United States against the 12 best junior girls from Europe.

Event Format

The team event includes foursomes, four-ball and singles matches played over two days and rotates between U.S. and European host sites coinciding with the Solheim Cup. The PING Junior Solheim Cup will be hosted immediately prior to the 20th edition of the Solheim Cup at the same course for the first time ever from September 7-13, 2026.

The 14th edition of the junior event officially begins on Monday, September 7th, with morning foursome matches teeing off from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. Play continues with four-ball matches in the afternoon from 1:15 - 2:30 p.m.

Foursome match pairings will be updated after Opening Ceremonies on Sunday, September 6.

On Tuesday, September 8, the event concludes with singles matches and the Closing Ceremony.

Returning Players

Of the 24 players selected to compete, just three have prior PING Junior Solheim Cup experience.

On the United States side, Anna Fang of San Diego, California, and Asterisk Talley of Chowchilla, California return to the roster. The duo will look to defend their title in the Netherlands after helping Team USA to an 18.5-5.5 victory at Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia, in 2024. The appearance marks Talley's third consecutive PING Junior Solheim Cup, while Fang will represent the U.S. Team for the second time.

On the European side, Alice Kong of France returns after representing Team Europe at the 2024 PING Junior Solheim Cup at Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia. Kong, who was the youngest player on Team Europe in 2024, will make her second consecutive appearance in the event as she looks to help Europe retain the Cup.

PING Junior Solheim Cup History

Since 2002, the PING Junior Solheim Cup has brought together the next generation of women's golf in a biennial Team USA versus Team Europe match play competition.

In addition to showcasing many of the world's top female junior golfers, the PING Junior Solheim Cup has been played at some of Europe's and America's most iconic venues, including Gleneagles' Kings Course in Scotland, The Inverness Hotel & Golf Club in Englewood, Colorado, La Zagaleta Golf Club in Spain, Båstad Golf Club in Sweden, and now Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands.

The United States holds an 8-4-1 advantage in the all-time series and won six consecutive matches before Europe earned its first victory on home soil in 2021 and followed with another win in 2023. In 2024, the U.S. Team, led by Captain Beth Daniel, reclaimed the Cup at Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia, with an 18.5-5.5 victory, the largest winning margin in event history.

AJGA alumnae who have graduated from the PING Junior Solheim Cup to the Solheim Cup on Team USA include Rose Zhang, Andrea Lee, Paula Creamer, Jessica Korda, Nelly Korda, Brittany Lang, Alison Lee, Yealimi Noh, Angel Yin, Brittany Lincicome, Morgan Pressel, Megan Khang and Lexi Thompson.

For the first time ever, the 2026 PING Junior Solheim Cup will be contested on the same course as The Solheim Cup at Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt, Netherlands. The junior event will take place September 7 through 8 , immediately before The Solheim Cup, which runs September 9 through 13.

The PING Junior Solheim Cup is a team match play competition between Europe and the United States, featuring the best twelve female golfers born in 2006 or later. The competition consists of twenty four matches — six foursomes, six four ball matches, and twelve singles matches. The event is intended to prepare juniors for the next stages of their careers by providing high level match play experience and opportunities to learn from the professional competitors playing in The Solheim Cup.
The 2026 event marks the fourteenth playing of the PING Junior Solheim Cup. The United States leads the all-time series 8-4-1 and reclaimed the trophy in 2024 with a commanding 18.5 to 5.5 victory at Army Navy Country Club in Virginia.

The event was established in 2002 by PING CEO and Chairman John A. Solheim and has developed a strong reputation for showcasing the world’s top female junior golfers. Past participants include Rose Zhang, Carlota Ciganda, Linn Grant, Lexi Thompson, and the Korda sisters, all of whom later advanced to The Solheim Cup stage.
