Alumni Honor Roll

Lee Bedford of Wake Forest took home the individual medalist honors at the Carpet Capital Collegiate Classic with a 10-under-par 206.

The AJGA prides itself on preparing junior golfers for college. The Alumni Honor Roll recognizes past AJGA players who have recently medaled at a college tournament.

A junior at Wake Forest, Lee Bedford recorded a 5-under-par 31 on the back nine to come from three strokes back and win the Carpet Capital Collegiate Classic at The Farm Golf Club in Rocky Face, Ga., with a 10-under-par 206. He defeated fellow teammate and former AJGA player Evan Beck by two strokes. The duo led the Demon Deacons to a runner-up finish, four strokes back of Alabama.

At the Women's NCAA Fall Preview at Traditions Golf Club in Bryan, Texas, Megan McChrystal of LSU took home the individual medalist honors with a 10-under-par 206, and helped her team to a second-place finish. Marina Alex of Vanderbilt took the individual second place, two-strokes short of McChrystal.
