The 54-hole AJGA Junior at Vista Valley will be held from January 17-20, 2020, at Vista Valley Country Club in Vista, California. This is the third consecutive year that Vista Valley Country Club has hosted the AJGA and this year it features one of the strongest Open Championship fields.

The University of Oregon commit enters the tournament as the top ranked player in the boys division and is coming off of his fourth-place finish at the 2020 Junior Orange Bowl International Golf Championship. The 2019 Rolex Junior All-American has one win at the 2019 Hunter Mahan Junior Championship presented by Baylor Scott & White Performance Center at The Star and has eight top-10 finishes in is National Junior Golf career.

Ranked No. 43 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, Chien enters the tournament as the only player in the girls division to have won an Invitational, the 2019 KPMG Stacy Lewis Junior All-Star Invitational. The California native has eight top-10 finishes in her AJGA career and is one of the youngest players in the field as a Class of 2024 graduate.
