AJGA Philadelphia Junior
Brian Li of (China) Warren, New Jersey, won his first AJGA tournament at 1-over-par 211 at the AJGA Philadelphia Junior. The senior recorded seven birdies during the tournament to win by one stroke. Rylie Heflin of Avondale, Pennsylvania, claimed her first AJGA title in her third start at the AJGA Philadelphia Junior. The 15-year-old finished at even-par 210 to win by one stroke.
AJGA Championship presented by Stuart Francis, Princeton Varsity Golf ‘74
Wilson Andress of Macon, Georgia, was victorious in a sudden-death playoff to win his first AJGA title. The incoming freshman at Georgia Southern finished at 4-under-par 206 and recorded 12 birdies during the tournament. Megha Ganne of Holmdel, New Jersey, captured her first AJGA title at 4-under-par 209 to win by three strokes.
Enagic Junior Championship
San Diego’s Ian Maspat fired a tournament-total 12-under-par 204 to win his first AJGA tournament. The 14-year-old carded four birdies and an eagle over his last eight holes to claim a one-stroke victory. Los Angeles’ Jasmine Lew shot a final-round 4-under-par 68 to claim a two-stroke win in the Girls Division. The high school senior finished at 11-under-par 205 to grab her first AJGA title.
Jim Bell Memorial Junior presented by PerryGolf
Tyler Wilkes of Tampa, Florida, carded a tournament-total 6-under-par 210 to claim his first AJGA title. The Florida verbal commit won by four strokes. Jiayi Wang of Shanghai, China, captured her first AJGA win and her third top-three finish. The 14-year-old finished at 1-under-par 215 to claim the title by five strokes.
Bass Pro Shops / Payne Stewart Junior Championship
Sam Jean of Greenwood, Indiana, won his first AJGA title in his last AJGA start. The incoming freshman at the University of Cincinnati finished at 6-under-par 207 to win by three strokes. Megan Furtney of South Elgin, Illinois, won her second AJGA title after draining a 40-foot eagle putt to finish at 3-under-par 210 and earn a spot in a three-way sudden-death playoff. The Duke verbal commit chipped in for birdie in the playoff to claim the honors.
AJGA Junior All-Star at Rush Creek
Brooke Biermann of Wildwood, Missouri, won her second AJGA title within three weeks at the AJGA Junior All-Star at Rush Creek. The 15-year-old finished at 3-under-par 213 and won by four strokes. Xuan Luo of GD, China, became a two-time AJGA champion at 8-under-par 208. The 15-year-old won by two strokes and has three top-three finishes in 2018.
