A look at your most recent champions from last weekend's AJGA events.

Baron Szeto of Moraga, California, won the AJGA Junior at Canbrake this past weekend in a one-hole playoff over Alabama native Tom Fischer. The 2021 senior put together rounds of 72-67-69 for a tournament total 8-under-par 208. Szeto is signed to play collegiate golf next fall at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly). Szeto had a clean scorecard on the front-nine of the final round going 4-under-par 32.

On the Girls Division side, Alabama native Lauren Thompson put together rounds of 73-66-73 for a 4-under-par 212 tournament total. Thompson finished three strokes clear of second place finisher Molly Hardwick of Franklin, Tennessee. Thompson's second round 6-under-par 66 was aided by a clean front-nine where she recorded five birdies. The AJGA Junior at Canebrake is the seniors first AJGA win. Thompson is set to attend Lipscomb University and compete on their women's golf team next fall.

In North Carolina, Visit Fayetteville partnered in hosting the VisitFayettevilleNC.com Preview at Anderson Creek Golf Club. The event honored two first time Preview Medalists. In the Girls Division, Annabelle Chan of Walnut, California, had a tournament total 6-over-par 150 for her win. While in the Boys Division Bradley Davis Jr. of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, recorded the only boys round under par on day one, 1-under-par 71 to get to 3-under-par 147 for the weekend.
