February 22, 2019 - Navarrosa dominates field with 12-stroke victory

AJGA Senior Showcase

Leif Sinclair of Stuart, Florida, won the AJGA Senior Showcase by four strokes to capture his first AJGA victory. Sinclair’s previous best AJGA finish was T6 at the 2018 evian® International & Senior Showcase hosted by Danielle Kang. Madyson Moy of Clermont, Florida, also won her first AJGA tournament by one stroke after making a strong final-round push. Moy carded four birdies leading to a 3-under-par 69 for the final round and earning her the win.

Buick Shanshan Feng AJGA Girls

Brianna Navarrosa of San Diego, California, closed out a dominant wire-to-wire victory at the Buick Shanshan Feng AJGA Girls Invitational finishing at 4-under-par 212 for the tournament. The University of Southern California verbal commit entered the final round with an eight-stroke lead and cruised to a 12-stroke victory behind her final-round even-par 72. Navarrosa has one other win at the 2017 Tathata Golf Junior All-Star Championship and is No. 19 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.

AJGA Simplify Boys Championship at Carlton Woods

Jackson Van Paris of Pinehurst, North Carolina, survived a two-hole playoff to claim his first AJGA win in two years. A first-round 3-under-par 69 and a bogey-free 4-under-par 68 in the second round earned him a one-stroke lead going into the final round. The 15-year-old shot a tournament total 8-under-par 208 with a final round score of 1-under-par 71. Van Paris is verbally committed to play college golf at Vanderbilt University and has two previous wins, including the 2017 AJGA Junior All-Star Invitational at Reynolds Lake Oconee.
