#GivingTuesday is an annual day of generosity that encourages people to give to organizations and causes close to their hearts.
For the AJGA, #GivingTuesday means being able to highlight three programs that fall under the AJGA Foundation: The Liberty National Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant, Leadership Links and the AJGA's Internship program.
The Liberty National ACE Grant provides financial assistance to young men and women who aspire to earn a college golf scholarship through competitive junior golf. Since it's inception in 2003, over $4 million has been reimbursed to 2,000 recipients and over $15 million in college scholarships have been earned by those recipients.
The Leadership Links program helps develop junior golfers into leaders in their community as well as on the golf course. Since 2009, more than 3,177 junior golfers have logged almost 30,000 volunteer hours, raised nearly $3 million dollars and supported more than 2,500 charities. AJGA resources and tools make giving back to the community easy and fun.
Considered the backbone of the AJGA, the AJGA Internship program gives men and women the opportunity to travel across the country running events or working on big ideas at the AJGA National Headquarters. Interns are granted once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to network, develop unique skills and establish a career path.
Giving to the AJGA's Foundation means helping a junior golfer gain entry into a golf tournament previously not available to them.
It means helping a junior golfer raise money for a charity that has helped them in the past.
It means being a part of an intern's story of gaining experience for their first job out of college.
It means being a part of DEVELOPING GOLF’S NEXT GENERATION®.
