Junyi Tang of Beijing, China, won the Boy’s Division at the Junior Golf Tour of Asia’s Taiwan Junior Championship by one stroke. Tang held onto the victory after carding a final-round 2-over-par 74 for a tournament-total 3-over-par 219. The high school freshman’s best AJGA finish was T2 at the 2017 AJGA Junior All-Star at Calumet. Tang is currently No. 112 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.


Yujeong Son of Norman, Oklahoma, won the Harder Hall Women’s Invitational with a three-day total of even-par 216. The high school junior was one of only two players in the field to card a sub-70 round, posting a first-round 3-under-par 69. Son’s victory is the latest in an impressive streak dating back to her win at the 2017 Swinging Skirts AJGA Invitational in August. Since then, the 16-year-old has won the 2017 Dixie Women’s Amateur and the 2017 Tommy Moore Memorial Junior Golf Championship, both of which took place in December. The Rolex Junior All-American is currently No. 4 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.


Wilco Nienaber of Bloemfontein, South Africa, won the Greg Norman Academy Junior Invitational with a tournament-total 2-under-par 214. Nienaber clinched the five-stroke victory with first- and third-round scores of 1-under-par 71. Along with being the only player in the field to card multiple under-par rounds, the South African was the only one to finish under-par for the tournament. The high school senior finished T45 at The Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by TaylorMade-adidas Golf in 2017.


Jana Ni of Beijing, China, won the Girl’s Division at the 2018 JGTA Taiwan Junior Championship with a three-day total of 6-over-par 222. The high school freshman’s opening-round even-par 72 matched the lowest of the tournament, and helped pave the way for her three-shot victory. Ni’s best career AJGA finish came in 2017 at the ACDS / Ryan Moore Junior at Oakbrook where she finished fourth.


Matthew Anderson of Mississauga, Ontario, took home The 23rd Annual Innisbrook Christmas Junior Classic title by two strokes. Anderson, who signed a National Letter of Intent with the University of San Francisco, carded the lowest round of the tournament with his second-round even-par 71. The high school senior had three top-10 AJGA finishes in 2017 and is currently No. 143 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.
