AJGA alumna Rachel Kuehn of Asheville, North Carolina, earned medalist honors at the 121st U.S. Women's Amateur at Westchester Country Club in Rye, New York. Kuehn shot rounds of 71-67 for a total score of 6-under-par 138. The Wake Forest University golfer is now the No. 1 seed for the match play portion of competition. Her first match will be played against fellow AJGA alumna Marissa Wenzler of Dayton, Ohio.

Kuehn joins her mother, AJGA alumna Brenda Corrie Kuehn, as a USGA medalist. Brenda was the medalist in the 1995 and 1996 U.S. Women's Mid-Amateurs.

Before starting her college golf career at Wake Forest, Kuehn had a very successful junior golf career. Her two AJGA tournament victories came at the 2016 AJGA Junior All-Star at Spring Valley and 2017 Billy Horschel Junior Championship presented by Zurich, CVS Health and Wyndham Rewards. She had 10 additional top-10 finishes in AJGA events from 2016 to 2019. Kuehn was a three-time Rolex Junior All-American in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Additionally, her first collegiate golf victory came at the 2019 ANNIKA Intercollegiate, the college-level equivalent to the AJGA's Diamond Resorts ANNIKA Invitational presented by Rolex, which Kuehn played in as a junior.

On July 30, 2021, AJGA member Anna Davis of Spring Valley, California, won the 2021 Girls Junior PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky. Davis shot rounds of 69-68-73-67 for a tournament total of 15-under-par 277. She fought off some of golf's top junior players to capture her fifth national junior golf tournament victory of 2021 by seven strokes.

Davis has been playing in AJGA events since 2020. Her sole AJGA tournament victory came at the 2021 PING Heather Farr Classic. She has five additional top-10 AJGA tournament finishes. In July 2021, Davis was a member of the Wyndham Cup West team where she went 3-1 in her team play debut. Davis will compete for the U.S. team in the PING Junior Solheim Cup at Sylvania Country Club in September.

AJGA alumni Michael Thorbjornsen of Wellesley, Massachusetts, won the 119th Western Amateur at Glen View Club in Golf, Illinois. Thorbjornsen earned medalist honors during the stroke play portion of competition after shooting rounds of 68-62-70-67 for a total of 13-under-par 267. His second round score of 8-under-par 62 set a new course record. Following stroke play, Thorbjornsen won four matches in two days to claim the same title previously won by Jack Nicklaus, Phil Mickelson, and Tiger Woods. Thorbjornsen defeated fellow AJGA member Gordon Sargent of Birmingham, Alabama, 4 & 3 in the championship match to claim the Western Amateur title.

Thorbjornsen won one AJGA tournament as a junior at the 2018 The PING Invitational. He had seven additional top-10 finishes from 2017 to 2019. Thorbjornsen was a member of the Wyndham Cup East team in 2018 and 2019. He was also a two-time Rolex Junior All-American in 2018 and 2019. Thorbjornsen is now a sophomore on the Stanford University men's golf team.
