Rachel Kuehn of Asheville, North Carolina, won the 118th Women's North & South Amateur just 25 years after her mother finished runner-up at the same event. The recent AJGA alumna made a par on the 19th hole of the final match to claim the title. Kuehn entered the match-play event at No. 10 seed out of 32 women in the field. The rising Wake Forest sophomore was a Rolex Junior All-American in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Jack Turner of Orlando, Florida, was crowned the winner of the 13-15 Division at the 66th Florida Boys Junior Amateur Championship at Streamsong Resort. He posted a 3-under-par 70 for the first and second rounds, taking the lead on moving day. A final-round 6-under-par 67 sealed the deal by 11 shots. Turner recently finished tied for third at the Circle K Junior Championship hosted by Otter Creek.
Zachary Miller of Buckley, Washington, won the WJGA Western Open at Capitol City Golf Club in Olympia, Washington. He stood near the top of the pack after shooting an even-par 72 in the first round. He fired a 6-under-par 66 in the final round to claim the victory by five strokes. Miller recently competed in the GreatLIFE Junior Challenge by Sanford Health, the AJGA's first ever event in South Dakota.
Delia Gibbs of Lexington, Kentucky, earned a one-stroke victory at the Kentucky Girls Junior Amateur at the Cherry Blossom Golf and Country Club in Georgetown, Kentucky. She finished at 2-over-par 146 and led the field in birdies at eight for the event. Gibbs has a signed letter of intent with Belmont University for the fall and recently finished third at the D.A. Points Junior Open sponsored by Pekin Insurance / UnityPoint Health.
