Nicholas Dunlap of Huntsville, Alabama, won in the Boys Division of the Dustin Johnson World Junior with a tournament total of 3-under-par 213. Dunlap opened with a modest 1-under-par 71 but it was his second round of 5-under 67 that vaulted him up the leaderboard. He finished with a 75 to win by two strokes over Luke Clanton, Brendan Valdes and Maxwell Ford. Dunlap is No. 14 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and was a Rolex Junior All-American in 2019. He is a verbal commit to the University of Alabama.
Jacqueline Putrino of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, won in the Girls Division of the Dustin Johnson World Junior by one stroke over Hyo Joon Jang. A 3-over-par 75 in the first round left her five shots off the lead. She rebounded with an even-par 72 that moved her to second place going into the final round. She'd finish with a 3-over 75 to win by one stroke at 6-over 222 for the tournament. Putrino is No. 123 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and has one AJGA win at the 2020 Sean Foley Performance Junior Championship.
JB Knight of Kennesaw, Georgia, won the Boys Division of the Georgia State Golf Association Western Georgia Junior Classic. Knight played consistent golf carding back-to-back rounds of even-par 72. His back nine in the final round consisted of two birdies and an eagle to help him secure a three-shot victory. Knight started his AJGA career in 2019 and his best finish is T16 at the 2019 AJGA Preview at Château Élan.
Camryn Coffield of Hamilton, Georgia, won the Girls Division of the GSGA Western Georgia Junior Classic after carding a tournament total of 9-over-par 153. Coffield took the lead after a first round of 5-over-par 77 and secured a four-stroke victory after a 4-over 76 in the final round. She is slated to play in her first AJGA event this April at the 2021 TaylorMade TP5 Junior All-Star. She recently won the 2021 USKG Copperhead Classic and the 2020 SJGT Tournament of Champions.
