Braselton, GA – The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) proudly announces that the Liberty National ACE Grant, a cornerstone program of the AJGA Foundation, has surpassed $9 million in reimbursements since its creation in 2003. This achievement reflects more than two decades of impact, helping thousands of talented junior golfers pursue their dreams.

The Liberty National Foundation, led by Dan and Paul Fireman, has been central to this success. Their commitment to raising $100 million to benefit charitable causes includes a lasting partnership with the AJGA that secures the future of the Liberty National ACE Grant. Their continued leadership ensures that the program will not only remain strong but expand its reach in the years ahead.

“My family and I have always seen Liberty National as more than just a golf club, it’s a platform to change lives. Crossing the $9 million milestone with the Liberty National ACE Grant is a proud reminder of why my family, the club and our foundation partner with incredible organizations like the AJGA — to ensure dedicated young people have access to the game and the opportunities and life lessons it can provide.”
Dan Fireman, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Liberty National Golf Club

The impact of the Liberty National ACE Grant is amplified by the support of past recipients and some of the game’s most iconic figures who continue to give back to the program. AJGA alumni who have gone on to successful collegiate and professional careers often credit the grant with providing the opportunity to compete at the highest level during their junior golf journeys. Their stories, along with the involvement of legendary champions, highlight the full-circle nature of the program and its enduring influence.

"I know firsthand how many doors golf can open, both on and off the course. Programs like the Liberty National ACE Grant are special because it gives junior golfers, no matter their background, the chance to pursue their dreams. Being able to support this grant through the ANNIKA Foundation is deeply meaningful to me because it's about more than just golf — it's about creating opportunities that empower and advance younger women around the world through golf and in life."

Since its launch, the Liberty National ACE Grant has provided assistance to more than 3,700 players, covering travel, lodging and tournament expenses. The program has also extended its support to outside competitions such as the Mack Champ Invitational, PGA Sectionals and USGA Qualifiers and championships, broadening the opportunities available to juniors. More than $2 million in funding has been dedicated specifically to juniors from First Tee programs, furthering the pathway for diverse and deserving players to compete at the highest level.

"Reflecting on my journey from junior golf to LSU and then into professional golf, the Liberty National ACE Grant was pivotal for many reasons. Golf demands considerable financial investment, and the program can significantly impact young players striving to secure college golf scholarships through junior golf. This was certainly true for me when I received the Liberty National ACE Grant."

Over the past eight years, the Liberty National ACE Grant has experienced remarkable growth, doubling its reimbursements and setting new benchmarks for impact. In 2024, the program surpassed $1 million in reimbursements in a single year for the first time, a milestone it is on track to repeat in 2025. With this momentum, the AJGA anticipates the program will consistently provide more than $1 million in annual support, ensuring access to golf remains within reach for future generations.

“The AJGA Foundation remains committed to shaping the future of the sport by ensuring financial circumstances never limit opportunity. As its resources and reach continue to grow, the Liberty National ACE Grant remains dedicated to delivering lasting impact to young golfers and the game itself.”
Kevin Rinker, Senior Vice President of the Foundation
