After two rounds of golf at Champions Retreat Golf Club, the top 30 players and ties have advanced to the final round of the Augusta National Women's Amateur (ANWA), held at the iconic Augusta National Golf Club. Among the 32 players moving on, 19 are AJGA alumni and three are current juniors.

Asterisk Talley and Gianna Clemente, both representing the United States, are no strangers to Augusta National. Each has previously advanced to the final round in past ANWA appearances. Talley leads the trio of AJGA juniors on the leaderboard, finishing Champions Retreat at 7-under-par 137, placing her in a tie for sixth. She trails by just two strokes behind World Amateur Golf Rankings® No. 1 and defending ANWA champion, Lottie Woad, as well as AJGA alumna Kiara Romero. Talley fired a 2-under-par 70 at Augusta National in 2024 and looks to improve upon her T8 finish from last year.

Clemente, making her third ANWA appearance, has made the cut in every start. She finished T14 in her 2023 debut, posting a 4-over-par 76 at Augusta, and improved to T5 in 2024 with a 1-over-par 73. This year, Clemente sits T17 at 2-under-par 142 and is looking to make a final-round push up the leaderboard.

Scarlett Schremmer of the United States, also a current AJGA junior, made the cut in her ANWA debut. After an opening round 1-over-par 73, she bounced back with a nearly flawless 3-under-par 69 to join Clemente at T17.

While the four other AJGA juniors in the field won't be playing in Saturday’s final round, all ANWA participants are invited to play a practice round at Augusta National on Friday—a special opportunity on one of golf’s most legendary courses.

"Obviously didn’t play the best on the back nine today, but I am very proud of how I continued fighting, didn’t give up. I’m just really happy that I get to be here and experience this. It’s a dream come true, and I’m just going to enjoy it as much as I can."

This event is one of the most prestigious in amateur golf. For the world’s top female amateurs, simply receiving an invitation to compete at Augusta National is a dream come true. A total of seven current AJGA juniors were invited this year, and 40 AJGA alumni are playing alongside them.

"It’s a euphoric feeling being here. Everyone waits all year for it—to get that invitation, to come here, have your best time, and play your best golf. You just hope to play well on such a legendary course."
