Birks & Mayors to Sponsor AJGA Event in Palm Beach Gardens

Birks & Mayors Mirasol Junior Championship to be held June 5-8

Birks & Mayors, a luxury jewelry company based in Tamarac, Fla., will sponsor the Birks & Mayors Mirasol Junior Championship to be held June 5-8, 2007, the American Junior Golf Association announced Wednesday. The event will be held on the Sunrise Course at The Country Club at Mirasol in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

The 2007 edition of the event will be the fourth time the AJGA has hosted the event at The Country Club of Mirasol, which annually attracts the top talent from across the country. Past Rolex Junior Players of the Year Peter Uihlein and In-Bee Park have both participated in the event.

The 84-player, 54-hole event will feature the nation's top junior boys and girls ages 12-18. The first round of the event will be held Wednesday, June 6, while the second and final rounds will be staged on Thursday, June 7 and Friday, June 8, respectively.
