Longtime supporter of the AJGA and junior golf, Andy Neher passed away on Sunday (Sept. 7). Neher was instrumental in several key AJGA initiatives, including hosting the Wyndham Cup and funding the Liberty National ACE Grant.

Serving as President and Partner at Old Sandwich Golf Club since 2002, Neher was essential in hosting the Wyndham Cup four times (2010, 2014, 2018 and 2022). The venue is one of the most beloved in the tournament's history and has produced some incredible competitions.

Notable alumni who played in Wyndham Cup at Old Sandwich Golf Club include:
- Collin Morikawa
- Justin Thomas
- Patrick Rogers
- Will Zalatoris
- Emma Talley
- Andrea Lee
- Rose Zhang
- Kramer Hickok
- Sam Burns

Neher was also pivotal in the creation of the Liberty National ACE Grant Cup. It was an idea he brought to AJGA Executive Director, Stephen Hamblin in 2015. Neher would then host the first Liberty National ACE Grant Cup in 2016 at Old Sandwich Golf Club. The event raised $100,000 to endow a Liberty National ACE Grant which was at the time the largest donation from a fundraising event in the AJGA Foundation's history. The Liberty National ACE Grant Cup has happened yearly since then at various courses around the country.
