Newsmakers (June 27): Pressel Finishes Second at U.S. Women's Open

Birdie Kim's improbable birdie on the 72nd hole at the U.S. Women's Open, sealed the victory and left Morgan Pressel and Brittany Lang in a tie for second. Kim finished with a tournament total of 3-over-par 287, while both Pressel and Lang finished two shots back.

Pressel, who already has victories at the Polo Golf Junior Classic, the Thunderbird International Junior and the Rolex Girls Junior Championship this year, carded a final-round 75. Lang, who will be turning pro this fall, notched a 71 on Sunday.

Lorena Ochoa and Candie Kung finished tied for sixth, while Cristie Kerr earned a tie for tenth. Both Kerr (1995) and Kung (1999) are former Rolex Junior Players of the Year.
