Get to know Adam

  • What's one thing people don't know about you? I’m a published novelist. I wrote a mystery novel in middle school that ended up getting published and was available on Amazon for awhile. The story really isn’t that good and it’s clear that it was written by a teenager, but it’s definitely an accomplishment I'm proud of.
  • What's the best day or moment of your life to this point? The best day of my life was December 26, 2019. My dad is a British citizen and I have family in the north of England. For Christmas in 2019, my immediate family and I were in England visiting this extended family. I’m a diehard Manchester United supporter and they surprised me with tickets to Man U’s game on Boxing Day (which is the day after Christmas and basically a national holiday for soccer). I was floating that entire day. Driving into Manchester and watching the red bricks of Old Trafford slowly rise on the horizon, walking in and seeing the bright green pitch against the red seats, singing and chanting with the Stretford End as the reds came back from losing 1-0 to destroy Newcastle 4-1… it was a dream and the coolest experience of my life.

  • Would you rather be the best player on a horrible team or the worst player on a great team? The worst player on a great team. It’s something I experienced with my college baseball team. I only ever saw the field to fill in as a first base coach from time to time, but I wouldn’t trade my time with the team for the world. Especially my senior year, it was incredible to see the team develop from just a contender for the conference playoffs into a top team in the region that can go toe-to-toe with nationally-ranked programs. Nothing compares to the energy, excitement, and pride that comes with being a part of a successful team that you can see moving closer to the goal every single day.
