Three AJGA players to receive Byron Nelson Golf Awards

The Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Awards will be presented to three AJGA players, the Salesmanship Club of Dallas announced Thursday.  Cody Proveaux of Leesville, S.C., Matthew NeSmith of North Augusta, S.C., and Wyndham Clark of Greenwood Village, Colo., will be recognized at the HP Byron Nelson Championship and Awards Dinner presented by American Airlines on Saturday, May 19, at TPC Four Seasons.

Ricky Kato of Australia is the fourth player that will be honored based on not only golfing skill, but academic success and significant community involvement.

The awards began in 2008 and all 15 past recipients are AJGA alumni, including two-time HP Scholastic Junior All-American Brinson Paolini (2009) and Rolex Junior Players of the Year Cameron Peck (2009) and Jordan Spieth (2010).
