Three things for Monday at the #PoloGolfJC

  • The Polo Golf Junior Classic ushers in the beginning of the 2016 season, and with it comes new faces. Of the 156-player field, 110 are competing in the Polo Golf Junior Classic for the first time. They will look to 2014 champion Spencer Soosman as a model of success, as he won in his tournament debut.
     
  • On Sunday night, players and parents gathered for the Rolex Junior All-America Awards Banquet, dubbed the "Greatest Night in Junior Golf" to honor the Rolex Junior Players of the Year (Philip Barbaree and Hannah O'Sullivan), the Rolex Junior All-America teams, the AJGA Scholastic Junior All-Americans and the Jerry Cole Sportsmanship Award winner (Emily Sumner).
     
  • The 2014 Polo Golf junior Classic champions Spencer Soosman of Westlake Village, California, and Sierra Brooks of Sorrento, Florida, will begin to defend their titles today. Both players will tee off at 8:20 a.m., Soosman off the Fazio Course No. 1 tee, Brooks off the Champion Course No. 1 tee. Make sure to follow their rounds with FJ Live Scoring.
