Eleven AJGA Junior All-Star team members will tee off in the first round of the Junior All-Star Invitational sponsored by NIKEGOLF. In the event's 14-year history, 15 champions of the event were named to the AJGA Junior All-Star team in the same year.
Players this week try to join a list of past champions that includes Bud Cauley, Cory Whitsett and Yueer Cindy Feng. Winning AJGA events is nothing new for the field, as 27 players have at least one AJGA victory under their belt.
Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club is no stranger to big events; between the two courses on the property - Ghost Creek and Witch Hollow - the course has hosted the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship, U.S. Amateur Championship and the U.S. Women’s Open twice (1997, 2003).
