Huntsville, AL - During the tournament week, the Huntsville Country Club was crowded with junior golfers and their families excited to participate in the second annual AJGA Huntsville Junior. During the Junior Am, the AJGA recognized two benefiting charities for the 2022 event, Village of Promise and Youth on Course Alabama.

Village of Promise is a Family Advancement Center founded locally in Huntsville, Alabama, that addresses the needs of children and families in distressed, high-poverty neighborhoods. This year, the AJGA presented Village of Promise with a donation of $15,500.
Co-Founder Bobby Bradley would go on and share the importance of Village of Promise, "Our organization empowers both young people and adults who lack resources and a support system to have hope for their future and to know they can do and be anything that they want."
Bradley is passionate about their mission and made sure to note the impact that extracurricular activities, such as golf, have on a young person’s life. She believes it is important to identify what their interests are as it motivates them to strive to be their best.
We are very interested in the AJGA and the ability this tour has to advance a child’s performance inside the classroom. We have found that a lot of things that children do outside of the classroom will enhance their ability to perform inside the classroom.
In addition to Village of Promise, the AJGA Huntsville Junior has a second beneficiary, Youth on Course Alabama. Youth on Course Alabama works across the state to help provide the next generation of golfers with affordable access to golf and practice facilities. This year, the AJGA presented Youth on Course Alabama with a donation for $2,500.
