Anna Nordqvist finished with a 15-under-par 273 to win the Honda LPGA Thailand over defending champion Inbee Park. The victory marks Nordqvists third LPGA title and first win since 2009.
In 2005, Nordqvist competed in the Thunderbird International Junior and the Polo Golf Junior Classic, finishing 22nd and 13th, respectively. That same year, she represented Europe at the PING Junior Solheim Cup at The Bridgewater Club in Westfield, Ind., where she posted a 3-0-0 record.
Before turning professional in 2008, the Swedish national
champion competed at Arizona State University, earning first-year accolades as
National Golf Coaches Association Freshman of the Year, Pac-10 Player of the
Year and Newcomer of the Year. She capped her collegiate career finishing fifth
at the 2008 NCAA Championship.
