Weekend wrap-up (June 17)

Michael Kim shot a 10-over-par 290 to earn low amateur honors at the 113th U.S. Open Championship, becoming one of four amateurs to make the weekend cut.

Kim competed in AJGA events from 2008-2011, earning 2010 Rolex Junior All-America honors. He collected seven top-10 finishes, including a victory at the 2008 Preseason Junior at Walnut Creek.

The 2013 Pac-12 Player of the Year at University of California-Berkeley, Kim also won the 2013 Haskins Award and Jack Nicklaus Award. Kim was a first-team All-American and the top-ranked golfer in Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings at the end of his 2012-13 season, which qualified him to play for the United States on the 2013 Palmer Cup team.
