Alyaa Abdulghany of Newport Beach, California, won the 2017 Thunderbird International Junior at 8-under-par 208. The three-time Rolex Junior All-American has recorded 13 top-five finishes during her time as an AJGA junior. Sitting at No. 6 in the AJGA Rankings, Abdulghany holds a 4-2-2 record as a two-time member of the Wyndham Cup West Team. She was also a member of the 2016 Junior Ryder Cup U.S. team and the 2017 Toyota Junior Golf World Cup U.S. team, where she won the individual title at 7-under-par 281. Abdulghany will play college golf at the University of Southern California in the fall. Lucy Li of Redwood Shores, California, is No. 2 in the AJGA Rankings. The 14-year-old has finished in the top-20 in all but one of her tournaments in her time with the AJGA. Notable career highlights include a spot on the 2016 Junior Ryder Cup U.S. team, a title at the 2016 Junior PGA Championship and her first AJGA win at the 2017 ANA Junior Inspiration. In 2014, a then-11-year-old Li became the youngest player to ever qualify for the U.S. Women’s Open. Li is making her Wyndham Cup debut. Kaitlyn Papp of Austin, Texas, has competed with the AJGA since 2012. The high school senior is No.13 in the AJGA Rankings and has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete for the University of Texas at Austin next year. Papp has earned Rolex Junior All-America honors in four consecutive years and won the 2014 PING Invitational and the 2015 AJGA Girls Championship. The seasoned junior also reached the Round of 64 at the 2013 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship. In 2016, Papp was a player representative for the AJGA Board of Directors. The University of South Florida commit is No. 10 in the AJGA Rankings with one title at the 2014 Coca-Cola Junior All-Star at Sugarloaf. The two-time Rolex Junior All-American finished in the top 10 in all three of his 2017 AJGA tournaments. In his AJGA career, Lee has finished in the top-20 on 31 occasions. Youngin Chun of Gainesville, Florida, rounds out the top 10 in the AJGA Rankings. The three-time Rolex Junior All-American has notched four tournament wins in her five-year AJGA career. In 2017, Chun has finished top-10 on five occasions, including a win at the Callaway Golf Junior Classic in April.
