JERSEY CITY, NJ -- Lauryn Nguyen of Seattle, Wash., and William Mirams of Stroudsburg, Pa., were honored as 2019 recipients of the USGA-AJGA Presidents’ Leadership Award on June 24 at Liberty National Golf Club.

The USGA-AJGA Presidents' Leadership Award honors one male and one female junior golfer annually who demonstrate leadership, character and community service through their involvement with the AJGA's Leadership Links program: a joint initiative founded by the USGA and AJGA in 2005 to further develop junior golfers through volunteerism.

Nguyen and Mirams gave speeches about their involvement in Leadership Links and encouraged others to join in the efforts. The pair were introduced by Past AJGA Board President Gayle Champagne and the USGA's Managing Director of Championships Mark Hill, also an AJGA Board Member.
