Former AJGA employee, Solomon Hughes, had no golf background and no interest in working in the golf industry when he first applied for the AJGA internship. What was only supposed to be one summer, turned into five years work at the AJGA in the Operations and Tournament Business Affairs Departments. The American Junior Golf Association prides itself on being a training organization, which is precisely what it did for Hughes. He shared, "The AJGA really isn't lying to you when they say they will teach you what you need to know."
We sat down with Hughes to discuss his time with the AJGA and dig deeper into what contributed to his success in the sports industry.
