Shiryu (Leo) Oyo, wins first AJGA event at Innisbrook Resort & Golf Club
With a tournament total of 1-under-par 212, Oyo finished two-strokes ahead of Karl Vilips
Shiryu (Leo) Oyo of San Diego, shared the lead at 1-over-par 143 with Karl Vilips (Australia) of Wesley Chapel, Florida, heading into the final round.
Oyo continued his strong play after a T5 finish at the 2018 Hunter Mahan Junior Championship presented by Baylor Scott & White Sports Performance Center at the Star in March.
Oyo carded scores of 71-72-69 for a tournament total of 1-under-par 212.
Vilips finished second with a tournament total of 2-over-par 215.
Vilips applied pressure on Oyo after carding two birdies on holes Nos. 15 and 17.
Oyo secured his victory with a 50-foot birdie putt on No. 18 for the win.
