Chen and Duangmanee win their first AJGA championship

Anne Chen carded a 5-under-par 139 while George Duangmanee carded a 6-under-par 138.

GIRLS DIVISION:

  • Anne Chen of (Australia) Sugar Land, Texas, takes home her first AJGA Championship win at the Hunter Mahan Junior Championship presented by Baylor Scott & White Sports Performance Center at The Star.
  • Chen shared the first-round lead with a score of 3-under-par 69. The Australian native carded a final round 2-under-par 70 for a tournament total of 5-under-par 139.
  • Chen carded four birdies on her round. She is a verbal commit to Duke University. Chen is currently No. 22 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.
  • Katie Yoo of Orlando, Florida and Hailey Jones of Dallas, tied for second with a tournament total of 3-under-par 141.
  • Jones is currently No. 12 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings

BOYS DIVISION:

  • George Duangmanee of Fairfax, Virginia shared the first round lead at 3-under-par 69. Duangmanee carded 3-under-par 69 in the final round for a tournament total of 6-under-par 138.
  • Austyn Reily of Pottsboro, Texas, came in second with a tournament total of 4-under-par 140. This is Reily’s third AJGA tournament.
