The rest of the top five is composed of six other golfers. Alexander Gibalevich of Studio City, California, and Timmy Cavarno of Redlands, California, tied for second at 5-under-par 67.
Dylan McDermott of Granite Bay, California; Nathan Wang of Fremont, California; Carson Levit of San Francisco, California; and Luciano Conlan of Carlsbad, California; are all tied for fourth at 4-under-par 68.
After the first round of the AJGA Junior at Peach Tree, Sarah Yoo of Los Angeles, California, and Wa Yeung Cathy Tong of (China) Costa Mesa, California, lead the Girls Division. Both players carded four birdies each and ended at 3-under-par 69.
Two other golfers rounded out the top three in the Girls Division including Adora Liu of Fremont, California, and Kaila Elsayegh of Pacific Palisades, California. The duo tied for third at 2-under-par 70.
