Aurilia, Hodgkinson, and Choi Top Their Respective Divisions after First Round

Kylee Choi secured sits in first in the Girls Division, while Collin Hodgkinson and Gavin Aurilia placed themselves in good position for tomorrow.

Kylee Choi of Murrieta, California, leads the Girls Division with a 5-under-par 67 for the day. The 2024 graduate enjoyed a back nine loaded with four birdies and no bogeys. Choi's best finish came back in 2019 when she finished fifth at the Callaway Golf Junior Championship.

Selena Tang of Fremont, California, and Sydney Sung of Palo Alto, California, are T2 currently with a 2-under-par 70.

Gavin Aurilia of Phoenix, Arizona, and Collin Hodgkinson of Beaverton, Oregon, made their case today by scoring a 1-under-par 71. Hodgkinson, a 2022 graduate, tallied five birdies today, four of which came on the back nine. Aurilia, a 2021 graduate, rose to the top of the leaderboard with a bogey-free back nine. The two players have eight total top-10 finishes, with Hodgkinson's most recent coming at the 2019 adidas Junior All-Star, where he finished fourth. Aurilia's best finish was in 2019 where he finished second in the TaylorMade/adidas Golf Boys Junior All-Star.

Ethan Tseng of Portland, Oregon, and Tiger Tahvildari of Huntington Beach, California, are T3 at even-par 72. Seven boys are T5 at 1-over-par 73.
