The inaugural Harold Varner III Junior All-Star was hosted at Tanglewood Park Golf Course - just under 100 miles from the PGA TOUR star's hometown of Gastonia, North Carolina.
Announced during the 2019 Wyndham Championship with Tournament Director Mark Brazil, the event connects the Harold Varner III Foundation and his partners around the idea of raising funds for the AJGA's financial assistance program, the ACE Grant, and providing top junior golfers with access to compete at the national level, especially top Black players.
Varner stopped by his AJGA event Monday, June 29 before flying to Detroit to compete at the PGA TOUR's Rocket Mortgage Classic. (READ: Helen Ross on Varner's event)
