Marcum takes top spot, Lee extends his lead

Rylea Marcum of Georgetown, Kentucky, shot 4-under-par 67 in the second round to take the lead in the Girls Division. Marcum shot 1-under-par 70 in the first round and now has a two-stroke lead heading into the final round. She has signed a National Letter of Intent with Western Kentucky University and has two top-5 AJGA career finishes. She is seeking her first AJGA victory.

In second place is Kynadie Adams of Gallatin, Tennessee, who shot even-par 71 in the first round and 3-under-par 68 in the second round to reach 3-under-par 139 for the tournament. She has made a verbal commitment to the University of Tennessee. Tied in third are Taylor Kehoe of Strathroy, Ontario, and Carly Carter of Eagle, Idaho. The pair sits at 1-under-par 141 at the end of the second round.

In the Boys Division, Bryan Lee of Fairfax, Virginia, extends his lead to 11-under-par 131. Lee carded 10 birdies on the day for a six-stroke lead headed into the final round. He has one win at the 2019 AJGA Preview at Chesapeake Bay, and is looking for his first victory of 2020.

In second place is Wells Williams of West Point, Mississippi. Williams shot 3-under-par 68 in the first round and 2-under-par 69 in the second round to get to 5-under-par 137. In third place is Jay Nimmo of Benton, Kentucky, who shot 2-under-par 69 in the first and second round to finish at 4-under-par 138. Tied for fourth are Cayden Pope of Lexington, Kentucky, Drew Salyers of Howard, Ohio, and Matthew Troutman of Louisville, Kentucky, who are at 3-under-par 139.
