Hollomon, Xu lead in Washington

Xu's bogey-free round highlights the day at Canterwood

Kevin Hollomon of Seattle, Washington, leads the Boys Division after a 3-under-par 69. He carded five birdies and completed 16 bogey-free holes. The Colgate University verbal commit is seeking his first AJGA win.

Seven golfers round out the top five including three tied for second at even-par 72: Akshay Anand of Redmond, Washington, Jaeyoung (Jeffrey) Kwak of La Mirada, California, and Adam Wrenn of Lake Oswego, Oregon.

Paramdeep Sodhi of Folsom, California, Jordan Werner of Sammamish, Washington, Burly Hildreth of Eastsound, Washington, and Ben Borgida of Shoreline, Washington, are all tied for fifth at 1-over-par 73.

In the Girls Division, Claire Xu of (Canada) Federal Way, Washington, finished leads with a 2-under-par 70 thanks to a bogey-free round and two birdies. The 2021 graduate is looking for her first AJGA win and finished T5 at the Sung Hyung Park Junior Championship a week ago.

Lauryn Nguyen of Seattle, Washington, is alone in second after an even-par 72. The 17-year-old won her first title in August at the AJGA Junior at Pronghorn.

Seven other juniors round out the top-three at 1-over-par 73: Faith Low of Foster City, California; Kennedy Knox of Normandy Park, Washington; Kirstin Angosta of Henderson, Nevada; Lily McCauley of Olympia, Washington; Momo Udom of Portland, Oregon; Gihoe Seo of Mercer Island, Washington; and Jade Gruher of Camas, Washington.
