After the first round of play, Parker Smith of Louisville, Kentucky, leads the Boys Division shooting 5-under-par 65 on the day. Smith carded six birdies to take a two-stroke lead heading into the second round. Smith has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Bellarmine University.

The first round is in the books and leaves Bridget Ma of Windermere, Florida, and Kary Hollenbaugh of New Albany, Ohio, tied for first at 1-under-par 69. Both had four birdies on the day, and are looking to continue that momentum into the next round. Ma has a win at the 2019 Cameron McCormick Junior All-Star.
