Two other juniors round off the top-3. Jasmine Dae Ryeong Youn of Guatemala, Guatemala, finished round one in second after she shot three-under-par 69. Finishing the day in solo third, Katelyn Huber of Gainesville, Florida, going two-under-par 70.
Matthew Broder of San Diego, California, ends the first-round out front after shooting 4-under-par 68. The 2023 graduate finished off his day with two consecutive birdies on Nos. 17 and 18.
Cooper Tate of Winter Garden, Florida, Lucas Slayden of Ponte Verda Beach, Florida, Rocco Salvitti of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, and Patrick McCann of Tallahassee, Florida, all finished the day at 3-under-par 69 and are tied for second.
